Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Kabizi** is an investigational oral traditional herbal medicine capsule developed by Xinqikang Pharmaceutical for ulcerative colitis, including patients classified with the blue bile humor pattern in Uyghur medicine. It is being evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, multicenter Phase 2 study as monotherapy and in combination with mesalazine versus mesalazine control. In a dextran sulfate sodium-induced rat model of ulcerative colitis, Kabizi capsules reduced inflammatory and pathological measures and were associated with reduced NLRP3 inflammasome-pathway expression; this preclinical finding does not establish direct molecular target binding in humans.
