Kabrita is a goat milk-based infant formula developed by Ausnutria Hyproca B.V. It is designed as an alternative to cow milk-based formulas for infants aged 0-24 months, particularly those experiencing common gastrointestinal symptoms such as infantile colic, constipation, and diarrhea, as well as skin conditions like urticaria. The formula leverages the natural properties of goat milk, which contains a higher proportion of A2-type beta-casein and smaller fat globules compared to cow milk, potentially making it easier to digest and less allergenic for some infants. It is often enriched with prebiotic fibers such as galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS), unsaturated fatty acids (DHA/AA), and a specific fat blend (OPO) to mimic the composition of human milk and support gut health and microbiome development.
