KAH-001 is a shared mRNA-based cancer vaccine being developed by Kahimmune Therapeutics, a spin-off from Gustave Roussy and SATT Paris-Saclay. The vaccine utilizes the proprietary Kahinomics™ platform to identify 'Kahigens™'—tumor-specific neoantigens derived from the 'dark genome' (non-coding regions) that are typically overlooked by traditional identification methods. Delivered via lipid nanoparticles (LNP), the mRNA encodes these dark genome-derived antigens to elicit a robust anti-tumor immune response. KAH-001 is designed as a companion therapy to be used in combination with existing cancer treatments to improve patient survival and quality of life. It is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of colorectal and pancreatic cancers.
