Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Kaimosin-Forte is an oral proteolytic enzyme preparation manufactured by Kaiser Pharmaceutical, a branded generic pharmaceutical company based in India. The formulation contains a combination of the enzymes trypsin and chymotrypsin at a strength of 100,000 Armour Units (AU). These enzymes act as anti-inflammatory and anti-edema agents by catalyzing the hydrolysis of proteins at the site of injury or inflammation. This proteolytic action helps in the resolution of exudates, reduces swelling, improves local blood circulation, and facilitates the healing of necrotic tissue. It is primarily indicated for the management of edema and inflammation associated with accidental or surgical trauma, as well as other inflammatory conditions.
