Kaishora guggulu is a traditional Ayurvedic polyherbal formulation widely used for its potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and detoxifying properties. It is primarily indicated for the management of *Vatarakta* (a condition often correlated with gout or peripheral vascular diseases) and various chronic skin disorders (*Kushtha*). The formulation is centered around Guggulu (*Commiphora wightii* resin), which is purified and processed with *Guduchi* (*Tinospora cordifolia*) and *Triphala* (a combination of three fruits). It is believed to act by balancing the *Vata* and *Pitta* doshas and facilitating the removal of *Ama* (metabolic toxins) from the blood and joints. Clinical literature and case reports highlight its use in treating complex conditions such as chronic plaque psoriasis, systemic sclerosis, avascular necrosis, and chronic venous ulcers, often as part of a multi-modal Ayurvedic treatment plan including *Panchakarma*.
