Kaitong Buzu Re granules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) developed by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Institute of Drug Research. It is formulated as granules for oral administration and is primarily indicated for the treatment of acute hepatitis A, specifically targeting the liver–gallbladder damp-heat syndrome according to TCM diagnostic criteria. The drug has been evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase II clinical trial in China to assess its efficacy and safety in adult patients with acute hepatitis A.
