Kaiwei Lipi Oral Liquid is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) developed and manufactured by Hunan Jiudian Pharmaceutical. It is formulated as an oral liquid designed to invigorate the spleen and stimulate appetite (Kaiwei Jianpi). The preparation consists of a combination of ten traditional Chinese herbs, including Codonopsis (Dangshen), stir-fried Atractylodes (Baizhu), Poria (Fuling), honey-fried licorice (Zhigancao), stir-fried Chinese yam (Shanyao), tangerine peel (Chenpi), Aucklandia (Muxiang), white peony root (Baishao), charred medicated leaven (Jiao Liushenqu), and charred rice sprout (Jiao Guya). It is primarily indicated for the treatment of digestive system disorders resulting from disharmony of the spleen and stomach, with clinical symptoms including loss of appetite, belching, and gastric distention. The drug is recognized as a national exclusive variety in China and is classified as a non-prescription (OTC) medicine.
