Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KAL-D3 is an oral fixed-dose combination supplement developed and marketed by Anglo-French Drugs & Industries. It is formulated with calcium carbonate (providing elemental calcium), vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), and soy isoflavones. The supplement is indicated for the management of weak and brittle bones, osteoporosis, calcium and vitamin D3 deficiencies, and for boosting immunity. Calcium carbonate provides the essential mineral required to maintain bone density and skeletal structure. Vitamin D3 enhances the intestinal absorption of calcium, ensuring its efficient utilization in bone mineralization. Soy isoflavones act as phytoestrogens, which help attenuate bone mineral density loss (particularly in postmenopausal women) and provide antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties that support the immune system.
