Kallunk oxide

**Kallunk oxide** is a named Siddha/traditional complementary medicine intervention developed by Traditional Alternative Medicine Research for HIV infection. Public trial registrations describe it as a calcined or oxidized medicinal preparation administered as a powder, sometimes alongside long pepper or an unspecified antidote/carrier. Its chemical composition, active constituent(s), molecular target(s), pharmacology, and reproducible mechanism of action have not been publicly characterized. Clinical studies assessed lymphocyte-related measures including CD3-positive, CD4-positive, CD8-positive, and CD45-positive cells; however, these markers are study endpoints rather than established direct pharmacological targets. A registered Phase 3 HIV study was listed as completed, but Kallunk oxide is not an established or approved antiretroviral therapy.
