Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KAM-3008 is a novel, barrier-based, steroid-free topical cream developed for the relief of symptoms associated with atopic dermatitis (AD). It is formulated with moisturizing and emollient ingredients as well as several herbal extracts designed to enhance anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties. Unlike corticosteroid treatments, it does not contain steroids and acts primarily by restoring skin barrier function and improving hydration. Clinical studies have shown that KAM-3008 is safe, well-tolerated, and effective in reducing the severity of AD symptoms as measured by transepidermal water loss (TEWL), skin hydration metrics, SCORAD (Scoring Atopic Dermatitis), and EASI (Eczema Area Severity Index) scores[1][2][7].
