Kami-Untan-To + donepezil is a combination therapy consisting of Kami-Untan-To (also known as Kamiuntanto or KUT), a traditional Japanese Kampo herbal medicine, and donepezil, an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. This combination has been studied for its potential synergistic effects in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Kami-Untan-To is composed of 13 crude herbal ingredients and is known to upregulate choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) expression and nerve growth factor mRNA levels in the brain, potentially enhancing cholinergic neurotransmission[2][4][6].
