Kanger Shen Pian is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) botanical drug candidate developed by the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is specifically designed for the treatment of chronic glomerulonephritis, particularly for patients presenting with the Damp-Heat and Blood Stasis syndrome (湿热瘀阻证) according to TCM diagnostic criteria. The medication is administered orally in tablet form. Clinical evaluation, including a Phase II trial (CTR20132145), has focused on its efficacy and safety in managing renal inflammation, reducing proteinuria, and improving clinical outcomes in chronic kidney disease patients.
