Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Kangfuxin lozenge is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapeutic developed by Zhejiang Jingxin Pharmaceutical, primarily indicated for the treatment of recurrent aphthous stomatitis (canker sores). The active component is an extract derived from the American cockroach (*Periplaneta americana*), which contains a complex mixture of amino acids, peptides, and polyols. This extract is known to facilitate wound healing by promoting the proliferation of granulation tissue, improving local microcirculation, and exerting anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. The lozenge formulation is specifically designed for local application in the oral cavity, targeting the 'yin deficiency with excessive fire' pattern in TCM diagnosis.
