Overview

Kangshuanyihao (also known as Kangshuan No. 1) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine). It is primarily investigated for its potential to reduce the "no-reflow" phenomenon in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The formulation is thought to exert its therapeutic effects by modulating platelet function, reducing inflammatory responses, and improving vascular endothelial function. As a TCM product, it likely consists of a complex mixture of botanical extracts intended to address the multi-factorial mechanism of microvascular obstruction following coronary reperfusion.
