Kangxian Huanji Granule

Kangxian Huanji Granule (KXHJ) is a compound traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed as an adjunctive therapy for the treatment of acute exacerbation of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (AE-IPF). As a multi-component herbal preparation, it is designed to address the complex pathophysiology of pulmonary fibrosis, which in TCM theory often involves patterns of lung-qi deficiency and blood stasis. Clinical trials, including randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies, have evaluated KXHJ as an add-on to standard care (such as corticosteroids or pirfenidone) to improve clinical symptoms, stabilize lung function, and potentially reduce mortality associated with acute exacerbations.
