Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**KapaVax** is a preclinical prophylactic trivalent bacterial vaccine developed by Vaxdyn in collaboration with Instituto de Salud Carlos III and Reig Jofre. It uses inactivated lipopolysaccharide-null, endotoxin-free whole cells of *Acinetobacter baumannii* engineered to display conserved surface antigens from *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* and *Klebsiella pneumoniae*. The candidate is intended to induce protective active immunity against infections, including antibiotic-resistant bacterial pneumonia, caused by these three priority Gram-negative pathogens.
