Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KAT-007 is a small molecule anticancer therapeutic being developed by NewG Lab Pharma as part of its KoDiscovery Anticancer Therapeutics (KAT) pipeline. The drug is specifically designed to target the Warburg Effect, also known as aerobic glycolysis, which is a metabolic hallmark of cancer cells where they preferentially ferment glucose into lactate even in the presence of oxygen. By inhibiting this metabolic pathway, KAT-007 aims to disrupt the energy supply and biosynthetic precursors required for rapid tumor growth. The primary target indication for KAT-007 is prostate cancer. As of the latest pipeline information, the drug is in the early stages of development with its specific clinical phase and location yet to be determined.
