Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KAT-010 is a small molecule anticancer therapeutic being developed by NewG Lab as part of its KoDiscovery Anticancer Therapeutics (KAT) pipeline. The drug is designed to target the Warburg Effect, a metabolic hallmark of cancer where cells preferentially utilize aerobic glycolysis for energy production even in the presence of oxygen. By inhibiting this metabolic pathway, KAT-010 aims to selectively disrupt the survival and proliferation of cancer cells. It is currently being positioned for the treatment of colorectal cancer, though it remains in the early stages of development with specific molecular targets within the glycolytic pathway not yet publicly disclosed.
