Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KB220Z is a proprietary **pro-dopaminergic nutraceutical** formulation, designed to optimize dopaminergic function as part of the brain reward cascade. Its primary mechanism is to provide amino acid precursors, enzymatic cofactors, and other nutrients to support the synthesis and release of dopamine and other neurotransmitters involved in reward and motivation circuitry, especially at D2 receptor-rich sites such as the nucleus accumbens. KB220Z is not a classic dopaminergic drug but acts to restore dopamine “homeostasis” in individuals with hypodopaminergia, commonly referred to as Reward Deficiency Syndrome (RDS). Reported effects include reduced craving and withdrawal symptoms for a variety of addictive substances and behaviors (alcohol, opioids, cocaine, food, nicotine, hoarding, and shopping), improved cognitive control, enhanced mood, reduced PTSD symptoms such as lucid nightmares, and improved functional brain connectivity as demonstrated by neuroimaging and EEG studies. It is being investigated as both a therapeutic adjunct in substance use disorders and as a neuro-nutrient for dopaminergic regulation[1][3][4][5][8][9].
