Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KBD041 is an investigational small molecule inhibitor specifically targeting Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 2 (FGFR2), currently under development by Chengdu Baiyu Jingelai Pharmaceutical (a subsidiary of Chengdu Baiyu Pharmaceutical). The drug is designed to treat advanced solid tumors that exhibit FGFR2 genetic alterations, such as fusions, rearrangements, or amplifications, which are frequently observed in malignancies like intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and gastric cancer. By selectively binding to the FGFR2 kinase domain, KBD041 inhibits the activation of downstream signaling pathways (e.g., MAPK/ERK, PI3K/AKT) that drive oncogenic cell proliferation, survival, and migration. As of 2023, KBD041 has entered Phase 1 clinical trials in China to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced solid tumors.
