Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KBLP-006 is an orally administered live biotherapeutic product (LBP) being developed by the South Korean biotechnology company KoBioLabs. The drug candidate is derived from the human microbiome using KoBioLabs' proprietary Smartiome technology platform, which identifies functional microbes for therapeutic use. KBLP-006 is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and atopic dermatitis (AD). It aims to leverage the immunomodulatory properties of specific commensal bacteria to address the underlying pathology of these chronic inflammatory conditions.
