Overview

KC5827 is an investigational oral small-molecule agonist of the glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R), developed by Beijing Kangchen Biological Technology (Konruns). It is being developed for the treatment of metabolic diseases, specifically obesity and weight loss. As a small-molecule GLP-1R agonist, it is designed to provide a more convenient oral alternative to the injectable peptide-based GLP-1 therapies currently available. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
