KD-357

KD-357 is an investigational inactivated rabies vaccine originally developed by The Chemo-Sero-Therapeutic Research Institute (Kaketsuken) and currently under development by KM Biologics. It is designed for pre-exposure prophylaxis against rabies virus infection. The vaccine is administered via intramuscular injection, typically following a three-dose schedule on days 0, 7, and 28. In Phase III clinical trials, KD-357 has been evaluated for immunogenicity and safety in healthy Japanese adults, comparing its performance to existing freeze-dried inactivated tissue culture rabies vaccines administered subcutaneously. The development of KD-357 aims to provide a more convenient or effective alternative to current rabies vaccination regimens in Japan.
