KD-382 is a live attenuated tetravalent dengue vaccine candidate developed to prevent dengue infection caused by all four serotypes of the dengue virus (DENV1–4). It is designed using a classical host range mutation strategy and contains four live attenuated strains corresponding to each DENV serotype. The vaccine aims to induce both neutralizing antibodies and cellular immunity, mimicking natural infection and providing long-lasting protection. In phase I clinical trials in flavivirus antibody-naïve healthy adults, KD-382 demonstrated safety, tolerability, and robust immunogenicity with 100% seroconversion for all four serotypes after a single dose. The most common adverse events were mild local reactions such as erythema and pain at the injection site. No serious or severe adverse events were reported during follow-up[1][2][6].
