Overview

KDM-1102 is a proprietary sublingual formulation of propranolol, a non‑selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocker, being developed by Kedem Pharmaceuticals as a cardiovascular therapy that leverages rapid absorption via the oral mucosa to bypass first-pass hepatic metabolism and improve onset and convenience compared with standard oral propranolol tablets. Propranolol, the active ingredient in KDM-1102, is a widely used non‑cardioselective beta blocker that antagonizes beta-1 and beta-2 adrenergic receptors, thereby reducing heart rate, myocardial contractility, and blood pressure, and is used in indications such as hypertension, angina pectoris, arrhythmias, myocardial infarction, and related cardiovascular disorders.[3][7][10][11]
