Overview

KDSTEM inj. is an autologous cell therapy product composed of urine-derived stem cells (USCs) developed by EHL Bio for the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD). USCs are a unique population of progenitor cells that can be isolated non-invasively from human urine and possess mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-like characteristics, including multi-lineage differentiation potential and potent paracrine activity. In the context of CKD, KDSTEM inj. is intended to facilitate renal tissue repair and modulate inflammatory processes through the secretion of growth factors and cytokines. The therapy is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with impaired kidney function.
