KDTV001 is a recombinant therapeutic vaccine developed by Wuhan Kindgen Biotech for the treatment of cervical high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) associated with Human Papillomavirus (HPV) types 16 and 18. It utilizes a replication-deficient human adenovirus type 5 (Ad5) vector to deliver and express the E6 and E7 oncoproteins of HPV16 and HPV18. By presenting these viral antigens to the immune system, KDTV001 aims to stimulate a robust cellular immune response, specifically activating CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes to recognize and eliminate HPV-infected dysplastic cells in the cervix. It is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials in China as a non-surgical intervention for patients with HPV-positive cervical lesions.
