Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Keke capsule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed and marketed by Guizhou Yi Bai Pharmaceutical for the treatment of cough and respiratory conditions. It is a multi-ingredient product containing *Herba Ephedrae*, *Pericarpium Papaveris* (poppy shell), *Radix Glycyrrhizae*, *Semen Armeniacae Amarum*, *Semen Raphani*, *Radix Platycodonis*, and *Gypsum Fibrosum*. The medication functions primarily as an antitussive and bronchodilator; morphine derived from the poppy shell component acts as a central cough suppressant by targeting opioid receptors, while ephedrine from the ephedra component acts as a sympathomimetic agent to relieve airway obstruction.
