Kelapher

Kelapher is a topical medical device developed by the Greek pharmaceutical company MEDITRINA for the treatment of skin discolorations (dyschromias). The active ingredient is Lactoferrin LT (Lipid Technology), which is a liposomal formulation of lactoferrin, a multifunctional glycoprotein. Kelapher works primarily by chelating free iron in tissues, which reduces hemosiderin-induced pigmentation commonly associated with hematomas, ecchymoses, and postoperative bruising. Beyond its iron-chelating properties, lactoferrin provides antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and wound-healing benefits. The product is available as a cream and in ampoule form for local application on lesions caused by vascular procedures, varicose ulcers, scars, burns, and post-laser treatments.
