KELI-102 is an allogeneic, bioreactor-based placental stromal cell therapy developed by KELI Therapeutics for the treatment of symptomatic joint osteoarthritis. The therapy utilizes mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) derived from placental tissue, which are expanded using a specialized bioreactor system to ensure scalability and consistency. KELI-102 is designed to address the underlying pathology of osteoarthritis through immunomodulatory and regenerative mechanisms. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that the therapy can significantly improve gross joint changes, such as reducing cartilage osteophytes and subchondral bone exposure, while also decreasing the expression of inflammatory markers in the synovium and preserving cartilage integrity.
