KEM2111 is a topical gel patch formulation being developed by Shenzhen Famayi Pharmaceutical Technology for the treatment of melasma. The product utilizes a transdermal gel patch delivery system designed to provide sustained release of the active ingredient to the affected skin areas. Melasma is a common skin condition characterized by hyperpigmented patches, and KEM2111 aims to address this through a localized, controlled-release application. As of early 2025, the drug is in Phase 1 clinical development in China, where it is being evaluated for safety, tolerability, adhesion, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers.
