Kemodoxin

Kemodoxin is a brand of doxorubicin hydrochloride, a cytotoxic anthracycline antibiotic developed and marketed by CKD OTTO Pharmaceuticals. It is a widely used chemotherapeutic agent that functions by intercalating between DNA base pairs, thereby inhibiting DNA and RNA synthesis, and by inhibiting the enzyme topoisomerase II, which prevents the repair of DNA strand breaks during replication. Kemodoxin is indicated for the treatment of a broad spectrum of malignancies, including breast cancer, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, gastric cancer, bladder cancer, lymphomas, and various types of leukemia and sarcomas. It is typically administered via intravenous injection and is a staple in many combination chemotherapy regimens.
