Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The Kendall Skin Wellness System is a comprehensive topical skincare regimen developed by Covidien (under the Kendall brand) and clinically evaluated by GM Associates for the management of moisture-associated skin damage (MASD) and perineal fungal infections. The system comprises several components: Kendall Body Wash & Shampoo, Kendall 2-in-1 Cleanser, Kendall Moisture Barrier Cream, and Kendall Antifungal Cream. The Moisture Barrier Cream utilizes dimethicone as an active skin protectant to form a breathable barrier against moisture, urine, and fecal matter, thereby preventing incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD). The Antifungal Cream is indicated for the treatment of superficial fungal infections such as tinea cruris (jock itch) and cutaneous candidiasis in the perineal area. This multi-step protocol is designed to cleanse, protect, and treat compromised skin in clinical and long-term care settings.
