Overview
KEPTIDE is a virus attachment inhibitor developed by Sotira SAS for the treatment of COVID-19. It is designed to inhibit the interaction between the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and its cellular receptor, angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), thereby preventing viral entry into host cells. The drug acts as an ACE2 inhibitory motif of the spike protein and is currently in preclinical development for infectious and respiratory diseases, specifically targeting COVID-19[2].
