Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Keqing capsule** is an oral Chinese herbal medicine product containing *Reineckea carnea*, opium poppy hull, *Ardisia japonica*, *Saxifraga stolonifera*, loquat leaf, and white mulberry root bark. It is marketed in China for cough associated with the common cold and chronic bronchitis, with traditional stated actions of moistening the lung, relieving asthma, suppressing cough, and promoting expectoration. Its approved labeling does not define a validated molecular target or pharmacologic mechanism. A randomized, open-label, controlled Chinese trial registered in 2020 evaluated Keqing capsule together with Kesuting syrup for mild and moderate COVID-19; this registration does not establish clinical efficacy for COVID-19.
