Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KeraFactor is a specialized topical formulation designed to address hair thinning and promote scalp health by replenishing specific growth factors and proteins that are often deficient in thinning hair. Developed by SkinScience, the product utilizes a proprietary blend of seven bio-identical growth factors and proteins, including Keratinocyte Growth Factor (KGF), Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), and Fibroblast Growth Factor-2 (FGF-2). These active ingredients are encapsulated in a unique nanoliposome delivery system known as "KeraLiposomes," which facilitates enhanced penetration into the hair follicles. KeraFactor is frequently used as a standalone topical treatment or in conjunction with laser-assisted delivery systems, such as Lutronic's LaseMD, to optimize absorption and efficacy in treating androgenetic alopecia and other forms of non-scarring hair loss.
