Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Keramod is a topical immune response modifier developed by Ojer Pharma, containing imiquimod at a concentration of 5% (50 mg/g). It is formulated using a proprietary bioadhesive, film-forming gel technology designed to provide sustained release of the active ingredient and improve clinical efficacy compared to traditional cream formulations. Keramod acts as a small molecule agonist of Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7), which stimulates the innate immune system and induces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as interferon-alpha. This mechanism promotes both antiviral and antitumor activities, making it effective for the treatment of actinic keratosis, anogenital warts, and basal cell carcinoma.
