Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Keratostill is a sterile ophthalmic solution (eye drops) indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with dry eye, mild ocular irritation, and visual strain due to environmental factors such as air conditioning, smoke, dust, and prolonged screen exposure. Its formulation contains 0.3% hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (hypromellose), a viscous polymer that acts as a tear substitute to lubricate and protect the ocular surface, and dexpanthenol, a provitamin B5 derivative with moisturizing and epithelium-regenerating effects. The combination aims to provide protective, lubricating, moisturizing, and soothing actions and to aid in the regeneration of the corneal epithelium after stress or damage. The product also contains cetrimide as a preservative and phosphate buffer components[1][3][5][10].
