Kerra is a post-aesthetic recovery product developed by Quthero, designed to accelerate skin healing and reduce downtime following dermatological procedures such as laser resurfacing, chemical peels, and microneedling. The product is formulated using Quthero's proprietary 'Q-peptide' technology, which features the synthetic peptide sequence QHREDGS. This peptide is derived from the fibrinogen-like domain of angiopoietin-1 and acts as a biomimetic ligand for integrins, particularly alpha-v beta-3 and alpha-5 beta-1. By activating these receptors, Kerra promotes cell survival, adhesion, and migration, thereby enhancing the natural regenerative processes of the skin. Clinical data published in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology supports its efficacy in improving healing outcomes in a multi-site, double-blind study.
