Overview
Kesuting syrup is an orally administered, registered Chinese herbal medicine manufactured by Guizhou Bailing for cough and respiratory symptoms associated with common cold and chronic bronchitis. It is a chemically heterogeneous nine-herb formula containing Reineckea carnea, Solomonseal rhizome, Disporum cantoniense, Platycodon root, Saxifraga stolonifera, loquat leaf, ephedra herb, mulberry root bark, and poppy capsule. Its labeled traditional use is to relieve cough, sputum production, dry throat, and wheezing; no single molecular target or clinically established target-specific mechanism has been defined.
