Overview

A combination of ketamine and levobupivacaine used for local and regional anesthesia. Ketamine is an NMDA receptor antagonist that produces dissociative anesthesia and analgesia by decreasing the central nervous system's sensitivity to pain. Levobupivacaine is a local anesthetic that blocks sodium channels in peripheral nerves, preventing the transmission of pain signals. When used together, these drugs act synergistically on both central and peripheral components of the pain pathway, providing enhanced and prolonged pain relief with potentially fewer side effects than higher doses of either drug alone.
