ketoconazole + hydrocortisone

**Xolegel CorePak** was a co-packaged topical prescription product for seborrheic dermatitis containing **ketoconazole 2% gel** and **hydrocortisone 1% gel**. Ketoconazole is an imidazole small-molecule antifungal that inhibits fungal sterol 14-alpha-demethylase, impairing ergosterol synthesis and fungal membrane integrity. Hydrocortisone is a topical glucocorticoid receptor agonist that suppresses inflammatory signaling and provides short-term relief of pruritus, erythema, and irritation. The package contained Xebcort hydrocortisone gel for short-term symptom control plus three tubes of Xolegel ketoconazole gel for longer-term management. Barrier Therapeutics introduced the product in 2008; it was subsequently discontinued in the United States.
