Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ketoprofen lysine salt is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and a salt form of ketoprofen designed to improve solubility and gastrointestinal tolerability compared to standard ketoprofen. It acts as an analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory agent by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes involved in prostaglandin synthesis. This formulation is used for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as acute pharyngitis, headaches, toothaches, menstrual cramps, arthritis-related pain, and upper respiratory infections. The L-lysine component enhances absorption and reduces gastric side effects[4][5][6][8].
