Overview

Ketorolac + tramadol is a fixed-dose combination of two analgesic agents used for the relief of moderate to severe pain. Ketorolac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby blocking the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in pain and inflammation. Tramadol is an opioid analgesic that acts as a weak agonist at the mu-opioid receptor and also inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin, modulating pain perception in the central nervous system. The combination leverages multimodal analgesia by targeting both peripheral and central mechanisms, potentially providing synergistic effects for acute pain management[4][2][3].
