KFD1+3R-NC

KFD1+3R-NC is an investigational intranasal immunotherapy cocktail developed by the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center (SPHCC) for the treatment and prevention of COVID-19. The formulation consists of two human monoclonal antibodies, KFD1 and 3R, which were isolated from convalescent patients. These antibodies are designed to target distinct epitopes on the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, providing a synergistic neutralizing effect that prevents the virus from binding to the ACE2 receptor and entering host cells. By delivering the antibody cocktail via a nasal spray, the treatment aims to establish a high concentration of neutralizing agents directly at the primary site of viral infection and replication in the upper respiratory tract, potentially offering both therapeutic benefits for infected individuals and prophylactic protection for those at risk.
