Overview
KH-001 is a proprietary, orally bioavailable small molecule alkaloid developed as an on-demand treatment for premature ejaculation. It is being advanced by Kadence Bio (formerly Kanna Health) and has completed Phase 1 clinical trials for premature ejaculation, with plans to initiate Phase 2 studies. The drug exhibits a fast onset of action and short half-life, which may offer advantages over existing off-label treatments such as dapoxetine. While the precise mechanism of action has not been publicly disclosed, preclinical and early clinical data suggest efficacy in delaying ejaculation in a dose-dependent manner. In addition to its primary indication in sexual medicine, there are reports of development activities by HysensBio for dental caries and dentin sensitivity.
