Overview
KH109 is a small molecule drug candidate being developed by Chengdu Kangnuoxang Biopharmaceutical Technology, a subsidiary of Kanghong Pharmaceutical, for the treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). As a novel anxiolytic, KH109 is designed to modulate the GABAergic system, specifically targeting GABA_A receptors to alleviate symptoms of anxiety. The development goal for KH109 is to provide a therapeutic option with a favorable safety profile, potentially avoiding the sedative and addictive properties associated with traditional benzodiazepine full agonists. It is currently undergoing Phase 2 clinical trials in China.
