Overview

KIND-025 is an investigational canine recombinant fusion protein being developed by Kindred Biosciences for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in dogs. It is designed as an interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13) “sink” molecule, binding and neutralizing these key Th2 cytokines that drive allergic inflammation and pruritus in canine atopic dermatitis.[1] In a randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled pilot field study in client-owned dogs with atopic dermatitis, a single dose of KIND-025 demonstrated positive efficacy signals, with higher treatment response rates and reductions in pruritus and dermatitis severity scores compared with placebo over four weeks, supporting further development as a targeted biologic therapy for allergic skin disease in dogs.[1]
