Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Kineto-DP is an approved, marketed fixed-dose combination product developed by Systopic Laboratories for the treatment of pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal and joint disorders, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It is available in two primary oral formulations: Kineto-DP Capsule, which combines the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) diclofenac (as diclofenac potassium) with the proteolytic enzyme serratiopeptidase; and Kineto-DP Tablet, which is a triple combination of diclofenac, paracetamol (acetaminophen), and serratiopeptidase. Diclofenac and paracetamol act as analgesics and antipyretics by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby blocking prostaglandin synthesis. Serratiopeptidase, a proteolytic enzyme, degrades abnormal proteins like fibrin and bradykinin at the site of inflammation, reducing swelling, improving microcirculation, and promoting tissue repair.
