Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Kinetozyme-D is an oral fixed-dose combination tablet developed by Systopic Laboratories for the management of pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with various musculoskeletal and joint disorders, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis, as well as post-operative and post-traumatic recovery. The formulation combines the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) diclofenac with the proteolytic enzymes trypsin, chymotrypsin, and bromelain, and the antioxidant flavonoid rutoside. Diclofenac acts by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) to reduce prostaglandin synthesis, thereby providing potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. The proteolytic enzymes trypsin, chymotrypsin, and bromelain work synergistically to break down inflammatory proteins and necrotic debris, improve microcirculation, and facilitate tissue repair. Rutoside strengthens capillaries, reduces vascular permeability to prevent edema, and neutralizes free radicals. Together, these components offer a comprehensive, multi-targeted approach to accelerate healing and relieve pain.
